Updated periodically, the INTEGRAL General Reference Catalog contains all sources that are detectable by INTEGRAL and have been brighter than 0.1 mCrab above 1 keV.

Objects in the catalog were collected from the X-ray binaries catalogs of Liu et al. (2000, 2001), the gamma-ray catalog of Macomb & Gehrels (1999), the EGRET catalogs of Thompson et al. (1995) and Hartman et al. (1999), the 4th Uhuru catalog of Forman et al. (1978), the ASCA catalogs of Sugizaki et al. (2001) and Sakano et al. (2002), and others.

INTEGRAL detections announced through refereed publications (i.e. Bird et al., 2005 and 2006) and IAU Circulars or ATels are included.

Identifiers are SIMBAD-compliant and all positions are referenced. The HTML version complements the FITS file by linking directly to the relevant pages in SIMBAD for the name and in ADS for the position reference. A new feature, instrument-specific flags, enables the user to know which sources have been detected by an INTEGRAL instrument.

Spectral models with typical parameters and normalizations were used to estimate counting rates over different energy bands for IBIS and JEM-X. These values can be adjusted to reflect INTEGRAL observations that have been made public.
