Integrated Activities for the High-Energy Astrophysics Domain
AHEAD: Integrated Activities for the High-Energy Astrophysics Domain

AHEAD stands for "Integrated Activities for the High-Energy Astrophysics Domain". AHEAD consists of networking, transnational, service, and joint research activities for the benefit of the high-energy astrophysics community. A proposal was submitted to respond to a dedicated call for integrated activities in the frame of the European FP7 Capacities Work Programme for support to existing research infrastructures. The community was invited to participate in the preparation and the definition of the proposal.

Details for the meeting "Toward a Proposal for FP7", 09/10 February, 2009 in Rome, Italy, including links to the presentations and a summary of the decisions taken at the Rome meeting are available.

The AHEAD proposal was successfully submitted on December 4, 2009. It was rated with a grade of 13.0 out of a maximum of 15.0, well above the passing grade. However, due to funding limits, the AHEAD proposal could not be funded in this call. The AHEAD team and Steering Committee are currently working to be able to repropose the AHEAD proposal next year or in the near future. More details will be posted when available.
