INTEGRAL Off-line Scientific Analysis
=====================================

A new version of the INTEGRAL General Reference Catalogue is now
available at:
http://isdc.unige.ch/?Data+catalogs

This version 29 of the catalogue includes the updates of the last 20
months. About 500 changes have been made for new sources, refined
positions, new identifications and new counterparts. The ISGRI_FLAG
definition has also been adapted. It is now set to 1 only if the source
has been detected in at least a single science window in the 18.3 -
59.9 keV band, and it is 0 otherwise. A new flag (ISGRI_FLAG2) has
been added in order to complete the classification. Its value is 1 in
the same case as above for the ISGRI_FLAG, it is set to 2 if the source
has only been detected in mosaic images and is set to 3 if the
detection has not been confirmed.

Ph.D. position in high-energy astrophysics
==========================================

We offer a Ph.D. research position in high-energy astrophysics at the
ISDC and Geneva Observatory, a research institute of the University of
Geneva.

The ISDC Data Centre for Astrophysics was created in 1995 as the
Science Data Centre for ESA's INTEGRAL mission. Since 2002, the ISDC
plays a major role in the operations of the INTEGRAL satellite, as well
as in the scientific exploitation of INTEGRAL data over a wide range of
high-energy astrophysics areas. The ISDC is also active in other
scientific projects like Planck and Gaia.

The successful candidate will also participate to the INTEGRAL-related
project activities in order to help to improve the support ISDC
provides to the community.

Candidates should send a motivation letter and a curriculum vitae. They
should also provide the name of one reference. All correspondence
should be sent by e-mail. Applications will be accepted until the
position is filled.

For further information, please contact:
	Prof. Thierry Courvoisier
	Dr Stéphane Paltani

Applications should be sent to:
	Martine Logossou

Postdoctoral research position in high-energy astrophysics
==========================================================

We offer a postdoctoral research position at the ISDC and Geneva
Observatory, a research institute of the University of Geneva.

We are looking for a young scientist with a Ph.D. in high-energy
astrophysics. Experience with hard X-ray telescopes and INTEGRAL in
particular is an asset. The successful candidate is expected to conduct
an active research program with and around INTEGRAL. The ability to
participate to collaborations with ISDC scientists shall be
considered.

The successful candidate will also participate to the INTEGRAL-related
project activities in order to help to improve the support ISDC
provides to the community. Familiarity with data analysis tools,
knowledge of programming languages and willingness to perform data
analysis support activities will be considered very positively.

Candidates should send a motivation letter, a curriculum vitae, a
publication list and a description of research interests and plans.
They should also provide names of two references. All correspondence
should be sent by e-mail. Applications will be accepted until the
position is filled.
